Cllr. Michéal Lowry
A native of Holycross, this is Michéal’s second term on the Council having proven to be a highly effective councillor. His youth and dynamism have been to the forefront as he has tackled the problems faced by the people of the Thurles area. Michéal has been very active and delivered on diverse issues such as; roads, planning, flood relief, young drivers, community group supports.

A member of the Lowry Team since his election in 2004, Michael has worked tirelessly for the people of Thurles town since his election. He has established a number of Local Residents Committees where he has achieved great success and has worked in tandem with Thurles Town Council on a variety of projects.

Evelyn was elected as Councillor in the 2009 Urban Disctrict Council election. A native of Ballycurrane, Thurles, Evelyn is an fervent supporter of children and families with special needs. A member of the Lowry team, she continues to provide invaluable services to the people of North Tipperary through her roles as a Family Respite Worker, Bereavement Support Counsellor, representative of the Thurles Parents/Friends of Adults and Children with Special Needs, and the Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation.

Newport County Council Electoral Area:
John ‘Rocky’ McGrath
A part time farmer, Rocky is very much part of the GAA. He is currently Chairman of the North Tipperary Hurling board. He has been involved in local politics all his life and is heavily involved in local issues. As part of Rocky’s commitment as a member of the Lowry team, he is accessible and available to the people of the local area.

Cllr. Michael O’Meara
Elected for his second term as Councillor, Michael is active within the IFA and the GAA and was one of the leading figures responsible for obtaining the sports cultural grants for Lorrha GAA club and Ballinderry sports field. Michael was heavily involved in major projects in Carrigahorig Nenagh Town Park, Borrisokane, Ballingarry, Rathcabbin and Terryglass. Michael is also responsible for the preparation of a master plan in advance of a major road re-surfacing project planned for the village of Lorrha later this summer and is committed to improving the causes and lives of the people of the area into the future.

Templemore / Roscrea County Council Electoral Area:
Elected in the 2009 County Council Electoral Area, Eddie is a progressive and vibrant new voice for all the people of the Templemore/Roscrea area and their hinterlands. Eddie acknowledges the involvement of Michael Lowry in securing grant aid towards the completion of Roscrea pool and leisure centre. Eddie will promote and support similar community initiatives. As a local Templemore businessman, Eddie is acutely aware of the problems both local businesses and individuals are experiencing in the current climate and he will ensure that the whole of the Templemore/Roscrea area remain at the forefront in all initiatives at North Tipperary Council level.

Elected to the Lowry Team in 2009 Urban District Council, Valerie and her family have a strong record of service in the town of Templemore in business and politics. Through her role on the front line of business in Templemore, Valerie intends to promote a culture of entrepreneurship. She would like to see the efforts of those involved in the improvement of the economic and employment prospects for the town, encouraged and rewarded. Valerie is acutely aware of education issues arising at both a local and national level and when elected will work to address the various educational needs of all children in the area.
