17th December 2009

Deputy Michael Lowry has confirmed that Minister Batt O’Keefe has included a further 6 million euro in his Department’s estimate for a new school at Nenagh Vocational College.

Deputy Lowry states that following discussions directly with the Minister he received confirmation that the project would be included in the schools 2010 Capital Building programme in the week prior to the budget.

He complimented the Principal Michael McNulty, staff and students for helping bring this important project to conclusion and Lowry said that if contracts and tenders were quickly completed that he was hopeful a build would begin in the coming summer.
