Deputy Michael Lowry has welcomed the announcement that North Tipperary Community and Voluntary Forum (CAVA) is to receive €29,655 from the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government.

The funding is being allocated to North Tipperary County Council for 2009, to support the work of the Community and Voluntary Forum in North Tipperary.

CAVA promotes the involvement of community and voluntary organisations in North Tipperary with local authority decision-making. It nominates members onto various local government structures such as the local County Development Boards and Strategic Policy Committees. CAVA is also actively involved in providing training and support for people involved in voluntary activity. (more…)
